  • Kenneth Hall Regional Hospital began as a realization of Rev. Father C. Koening. Father Koening realized the developing need for healthcare in the East St. Louis area. Subsequently, St. Mary's Hospital soon opened to meet the needs of the areas residents.
  • On February 1, 2004, St. Mary's Hospital was officially named Kenneth Hall Regional Hospital (KHRH). KHRH was named after Senator Kenneth Hall, a native of East St. louis who was the Illinois State Senate's first African-American Assistant Majority leader. At that time, KHRH became affiliated with Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation to create an integrated healthcare delivery system.
  • KHRH offers both inpatient and outpatient Behavioral Health services as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department.
